Your long wait for the arrival of Frozen 2 on the small screen is almost over, with the blockbuster sequel set to arrive on Disney Plus and on Sky Cinema this week.

The film was originally released in cinemas back in November 2019, and in the wake of cinemas being closed due to lockdown, is arriving on the small screen two weeks earlier than planned.

Of course if you have Disney Plus or Sky then tuning into the continued adventures of Anna and Elsa won't be a problem – but just when is it released? And how can you watch it if you don't have a subscription with either?

Here's what you need to know…

When is Frozen 2 released on Disney Plus and Sky Cinema?

Frozen 2 is released on Disney Plus and Sky Cinema on Friday 3 July.

Fans of the film have already had a treat via Disney Plus, with the release of original documentary series titled Into The Unknown: Making Frozen 2. which premiered globally on 26 June.

The six-part series shows how the sequel was brought to life by filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast, while cameras capture the challenges and breakthroughs creating the film brought with it.

Meanwhile if you want to watch it on Sky Cinema, the film is debuting on the Sky Cinema Premiere channel on Friday at 7pm.

You'll also be able to see it on Sky On Demand as well as via NOW TV.

How to see Frozen 2 and can you watch it for free?

You'll need a subscription to either Disney Plus, or have a Sky package which includes the movie channels, to watch the film when it debuts tomorrow.

Previously Disney Plus had been offering new customers a free seven-day trial of the service but this has now ended.

It costs £5.99 a month to subscribe to the streaming platform, and is done on a monthly basis, so you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Subscribers can also register Disney Plus on up to 10 devices and one account can support up to seven profiles – while you can stream content concurrently on four devices at once.

There is one way however, that you can watch Frozen 2 without having to pay a penny – and that's via NOW TV.

Currently, that service is offering a seven-day free trial of its various TV passes – including the Sky Cinema Pass which normally costs £11.99 a month – and there is no commitment either if you want to try the service out, meaning that you can cancel before you are billed.

So there is no shortage of ways you can get your fill of Frozen 2 this weekend.
